Who I am
Erich Anderson has been the Director of Transportation for Sand Springs since August 2023. He started his journey in Transportation in 2013 with Jenks Public Schools. After 2 months of being a Bus Driver, he took over as the Driver Trainer at Jenks and this started his journey. With Stops at Broken Arrow, Bixby, and Union Public Schools, he has been an Activity Trip Coordinator, Transportation Specialist, Special Needs Supervisor, Transportation Coordinator, Assistant Director and Director of Transportation for BIxby and now Sand Springs Public Schools.
Erich joined the OAPT Board in 2017 as the Vendor Director, and has also held positions as President-Elect, and Northeast Director (Interim) over the past 6 years. He graduated High School from the big town of Wyandotte, OK in 1990, has his Associates Degree in Business Administration from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, OK, and his Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. He has his Certified Pupil Transportation Specialist (CPTS) certification from NAPT and is a SDE Certified Bus Driver Instructor..
Erich and his wife Joy have lived in the Tulsa area for the past 26 years. They have 3 sons and 3 girl pugs (which is also called a grumble.) Who knew?
