Cody Thompson for the plus 7 years is the Director of Operations at Guthrie Public Schools with part of my responsibilities being over the transportation department. I have been leading transportation departments for over a decade and directing and managing educational and facility departments for 40 years. When I started this journey in 1983, I didn’t think I would be working in this field for as long as I have. Somewhere along these lines, I started to enjoy the opportunities and challenges of having our operations teams care for the students and staff in our schools and universities. The positive things our employees make in those lives here at Guthrie and the other educational institutions I have worked for have been great. I have married my wife, Diana, for over 40 years and have eight children. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching OU sporting events, and relaxing on the front porch at home.
